Jullie nieuwe cao had eigenlijk al op 1 november moeten ingaan. En hoewel de vakbonden en NXP elkaar op veel onderwerpen best goed kunnen vinden, geldt dat niet voor het loon. Tot nu toe gaat jullie werkgever niet verder dan 2,6% verhoging voor één jaar. Dat is veel te laag als je alleen al de inflatiecijfers in ogenschouw neemt. En bovendien onnodig. Van een bedrijf dat wereldwijd een miljardenomzet maakt en het afgelopen jaar ook miljarden uitkeerde aan aandeelhouders, mag je meer verwachten. Jullie vinden dat NXP als koploper in de markt, ook koploper op het gebied van beloning zou moeten zijn. En gelijk hebben jullie! Door donderdag tijdens een lunchactie jouw steun te betuigen aan onze inzet, geef je een signaal af aan je werkgever om de cao-gesprekken vanaf nu anders in te steken.

2,6% betekent koopkrachtverlies
2.6% betekent gewoon koopkrachtverlies voor jou, dat moet veel beter kunnen. De directie ziet dat waarschijnlijk zelf ook wel in, maar misschien hopen ze stiekem voor een dubbeltje op de eerste rang te kunnen zitten. De bijeenkomst van donderdag helpt ze hopelijk uit die droom. Dus kom met je collega's en geef een signaal af aan NXP dat het loonbod flink omhoog moet.

Difficult negotiations at NXP need a push

In order to smooth out the difficult negotiations on a new collective labor agreement at NXP, we as CNV Vakmensen call on you and your colleagues to come to a lunch meeting next Thursday at 1:15 PM. This takes place during the shift change in the NXP parking lot. We want to make it clear to the management that you as employees support us as trade unions in the collective labor agreement process.

Who: NXP employees in Nijmegen
What: break meeting in your own time as a statement of support for the unions
Why: smoothen collective labor agreements, especially in the area of ​​wages
Where: NXP Nijmegen, Gerstweg 2, lawn in front of the parking lot (300 meters from the main entrance)
When: Thursday, February 8 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM (during shift change). At that time we ask that you come as much as possible. If you really can't, then there is another time from 2.45 to 3.15

Your new collective labor agreement should actually have come into effect on November 1. And although the unions and NXP get along quite well on many issues, this does not apply to wages. So far, your employer has not offered more than a 2.6% increase for one year. That is far too low if you just take the inflation figures into account. And also unnecessary. You can expect more from a company that has a turnover of billions worldwide and also paid out billions to shareholders last year. You believe that NXP, as a leader in the market, should also be a leader in the field of remuneration. And you are right! By expressing your support for our efforts during a lunch campaign on Thursday, you send a signal to your employer to approach collective labor agreement discussions differently from now on. 

2.6% means loss of purchasing power
2.6% simply means loss of purchasing power for you, which should be much better. The management probably realizes this, but perhaps they secretly hope to get a ringside seat for a dime. Thursday's meeting will hopefully help them get out of that dream. So come with your colleagues and send a signal to NXP that the wage offer must increase significantly.
